Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Partners with K.I.S.S. to Raise Awareness on How to Support Deployed Troops

The service and bravery of our troops are unparalleled. They spend years training to actively protect and serve our freedoms, often separated from family for long periods of time. Yet, as citizens, we cannot comprehend the sacrifices they make each day. Currently, there is 1,388,100 active-duty military personnel in the United States.

These active-duty troops and their families are facing many challenges right now. As a community, there are many ways we can get involved and show appreciation for their service and sacrifices for our great country.

Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Partners with Kids in Support of Soldiers (K.I.S.S.)

Controlled F.O.R.C.E. has partnered with Kids in Support of Soldiers (K.I.S.S.), a non-profit organization founded on the desires of children to support our deployed men and women in the Armed Forces.

Our goal is to raise awareness of K.I.S.S.’s mission; to send monthly boxes to deployed military personnel. The monthly packages are full of items that are often taken for granted like laundry detergent, toothpaste, snacks, etc. But these are priceless commodities under challenging conditions that provide a touch of home.

Showing your support through even the smallest actions can make a big difference in the lives of deployed soldiers and their families. Day in and day out, our troops fight for our freedoms and keep us safe and we owe them a huge debt of gratitude. Here are some ways that you can show support and get involved:

Adopt a Soldier

By donating just $25 each month, you can “adopt a soldier” and ensure your service member gets a box every month. This fee covers the average cost for a box and shipping.  Learn more about how you can adopt a soldier.

Donate

Another way you can give back is by donating! K.I.S.S. allows you to donate right from their website. Funds go directly to the monthly boxes for our troops.

You can also donate specific packaged goods like coffee grounds, snacks, books, Gatorade, and more. View a complete list of packaged items you can donate here.

Volunteer

K.I.S.S. holds fundraisers and other events throughout the year that you can volunteer at to help raise donations for our troops. Learn more about their volunteer opportunities.

Show Support For Military Families

In addition to the troops themselves, military families often face unique challenges with deployments, frequent moves, and living in isolated military communities. If you know a military family in your community, here’s how you can get involved and help:

  • Check on them, see if there is anything you can do to help
  • Be a friend and a shoulder to lean on
  • Offer babysitting services or help with transportation
  • Send care packages or meals
  • Invite their family over for dinner or holiday celebrations
