DIANA GRANO
President and CEO
Diana Grano is the President and CEO of Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Mrs. Grano’s interest in and passion for martial arts led her to earning her blackbelt in American Freestyle. Utilizing her knowledge and passion, she founded Controlled F.O.R.C.E., was one of the lead instructors and appointed as President and CEO in 2010.
From the inception of Controlled F.O.R.C.E., Mrs. Grano’s goal was to develop Controlled F.O.R.C.E into the premiere woman owned tactical training organization serving the law enforcement, defense, and public safety industries.
Mrs. Grano has 25 years of experience writing doctrine, developing instructors, and co-authoring training and teaching manuals for law enforcement and military organizations. She currently maintains a Facility Security Officer (FSO) secret clearance and has a bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University.
Anthony "Tony" Grano
Executive Director
Tony Grano, Founder and Executive Director, developed Controlled F.O.R.C.E. into one of the leading tactical training companies for military, law enforcement, and security organizations across the United States.
In 1997, Tony developed the MACH 5.0 system. Utilizing positioning, movement, body momentum, and resistance to control a subject instead of pain compliance, the MACH 5.0 system was widely accepted by law enforcement agencies as a legally, medically, and technically acceptable technique.
Recognized as one of the country’s most sought-after instructor-trainers for military combatives, law enforcement arrest and control tactics, and the development and integration of basic and advanced training doctrine, Tony has facilitated the instructor development of over 15,000 law enforcement, government and private sector professionals at all levels of skill in both domestic and foreign environments.
Tony is a commissioned Saint Francisville, Louisiana Police Officer and recognized as a use of force “Expert Witness”, by the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania.
MIKE COSTA
Director of Administration
Mike Costa is the Director of Administration and is a Controlled F.O.R.C.E. International Master Instructor.
Mike served in the United States Air Force Security Police for six years, and upon his discharge became a Miami Metro Dade Police Officer. Mike also began his career in private and corporate security. After several years serving as a police officer, Mike followed his passion and talent for security, transitioning into the private sector where he established his own security firm specializing in security consulting, site assessments and guard / personal protection details.
Joining Controlled F.O.R.C.E. in 2000, Mike worked his way up the ranks to become an International Master Instructor.
Aaron Murauskas
Senior Director | Administration
Aaron Murauskas is the Senior Director of Administration for Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Mr. Murauskas served as an Illinois Law Enforcement Officer with municipal, county, and state agencies. His prior experience includes patrol, investigations, SWAT, field training, evidence technician, defensive tactics, and tactical response instructor assignments.
Mr. Murauskas has been a Controlled F.O.R.C.E. certified instructor since 2010 and is a graduate of the NACSA Command College (Class #1601), the Northwestern Center for Public Safety Supervision of Police Personnel course, and the Penn State University Justice and Safety Institute Leadership and Command Course.
Wayne Parker
Director of Law Enforcement
Wayne Parker is an International Master Instructor for Controlled F.O.R.C.E. He has been an instructor for Controlled F.O.R.C.E. for 22 years.
Wayne served 25 years with the Kent State University Police Department as a Patrol Officer and Patrol Sergeant. Along with his patrol and supervisor responsibilities, he served as the lead Subject Control instructor and Active Threat instructor for the department. The last three years with the department was in the position of Training Sergeant. During his tenure with the Kent State University Police Department, he also taught as a Police Academy instructor for 14 years and was a Police Academy Commander for 12 years. Wayne retired from the police department January 31, 2022.
ROB SARRA
SLED (State, Local, Education) Manager
Rob Sarra has fifteen years of experience as an Illinois Law Enforcement Officer. He held positions as a Range Officer, Firearms Instructor, Department Armory Custodian, Rapid Response Instructor, Field Training Officer, and School Resource Officer. Rob continues to serve as a certified police officer in a part time status. As a U.S. Marine, Rob spent ten years conducting both real world and training operations in the infantry field, including combat operations in Iraq in 2003.
Joining Controlled F.O.R.C.E. in January of 2019, Rob brought his law enforcement and military experience to the training world. Along with managing State and Local Education opportunities, Rob is one of the lead instructors for De-Escalation and Situational Awareness. Rob is also a tactical movement instructor, physical security consultant and school and workplace safety instructor. Rob is the lead instructor for the Controlled FORCE armed and unarmed security courses as well as a certified NRA and Illinois Concealed Carry firearms instructor.
Waysun “Johnny” Tsai
Special Programs Manager
A Chicago native, Waysun Johnny Tsai is an internationally recognized published book and
DVD personality, tactical industry magazine writer and founder of the C.U.M.A. Survival
School and C.U.M.A Combatives. Mr. Tsai is also a renowned knife designer for several
companies such as TOPS KNIVES, SMOKY MOUNTAIN KNIFE WORKS and WORK TUFF GEAR.
Waysun Johnny Tsai completed his first Controlled F.O.R.C.E. Instructor certification in
2012 and joined the company in 2022 as the Special Programs Manager, and as an
instructor. Mr. Tsai has over 25 years of experience in the private security sector and has
held security management positions at Chicago Public Schools on location at Morgan Park
High School and for the CPS Special Events Administration citywide security team “Yellow
Jackets”. Mr. Tsai is a lifelong martial artist that holds multiple black belts that are eighth
degree (Master Level) and above. He brings more than 36 years of self-defense instructor
experience to the team.
CHARLES “CHUCK” LONER
Regional Manager
Chuck Loner is the Regional Manager for Controlled F.O.R.C.E Southern Operations, located in San Antonio, TX.
Chuck has 23 years of experience as a U.S. Air Force Security Forces Enlisted & Senior Enlisted Leader. He served in the Superintendent roles for Operations, Training, Plans & Programs, and Contingency Planning. Additionally, Chuck was a certified U.S. Air Force instructor and managed the Expeditionary Combat Skills Training, Nuclear Response Operations Training, and NATO Nuclear Defense Operations Training programs. Furthermore, Chuck led 4 combat tours to Iraq for Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.
Chuck became a Controlled F.O.R.C.E instructor in 2015 and was an integral part in the development of the SF Operator Response Course. After his retirement from active-duty service, Chuck was selected as the Regional Manager for our Southern Operations Branch. He currently fills that role, while also serving as a military operations advisor to the President and Executive Director.
Chuck holds an Undergraduate Degree in Homeland Security, a Graduate Degree in Public Administration. He is inducted into and actively supports both the Order of the Sword & Shield and National Society for Leadership & Success Academic and Professional Honor Societies.

STACIE ALEXANDRIA
Executive Project Manager
Stacie Alexandria has been employed with Controlled F.O.R.C.E since its inception in 1997. Mrs. Alexandria’s current role is the Executive Project Manager for Controlled F.O.R.C.E. She oversees staffing and vetting of security personnel, manages all teaming agreements and service contracts from the initial stages of proposals to completion of the contract.
IAN "BUDDY" LOVESTOCK
Police Training Manager & Nationally Certified IADLEST Instructor
Ian is a career police officer spanning six decades and is currently commissioned as a Texas Peace Officer. He has a BA degree in Criminal Justice from University of Texas, and Master’s in Education from Texas State University. He currently holds the position of Police Training Manager for Controlled F.O.R.C.E.
